I love blueberry iced tea. I usually get it from Dunkin’ Donuts when we are out. But I want it when I’m home, too! So, I figured out this simple recipe.
I made 2 quarts of iced tea with this recipe. So you need 2 quarts of water, 4 black tea bags (or 2 iced tea bags) and a pint of washed blueberries.
I usually use hot (not boiling) water to make my tea. It helps the tea steep faster and also cools quickly enough to drink relatively soon. You literally just combine all the ingredients together in a pitcher and let the blueberries infuse for 24 hours. It’s that simple!
When I tried this the first time, I only infused for 5 hours and there was a faint blueberry flavor. So 24 hours should give you a good kick of blueberry. You certainly can leave the berries in longer, too. If you don’t end up drinking this all in the first couple days, remove the berries. They can start to mold and that’s just unappetizing.

- 1 pint of blueberries, washed
- 2 quarts of hot (not boiling) water
- 4 black tea bags, or 2 iced tea bags
- Sugar as desired
- Combine all ingredients in a 2 quart pitcher and let steep for 24 hours.
- Serve over ice.
If you don't end up drinking all of your tea in the next couple days, remove the berries so they don't mold and ruin your tasty drink!
